SPF secures Ambatovy Supply Contract
Stainless Pipe and Fittings Australia (SPF), AustralAsia’s largest specialist stockist, indent and project supplier of piping materials has successfully secured a supply contract for the Ambatovy Nickel Project for Stainless Steel, Duplex and Super Duplex Pipe, Pipe Fittings and Flanges.
SPF began supply to the Madagascar based US$3.3billion project in November 2007 with the contract due to be completed by August 2008.
To date SPF have supplied in excess of US$25million worth of pipe, pipe fittings and flanges in TP304/L, TP316/L, UNSS31803, UNSS32750, 347 and 310 with sizes ranging from 80NB(3”NB) to 1200NB(48”NB).
Mr Greg Disselkoen, SPF’s Project Manager said ‘SPF’s Project Team is extremely pleased to have been awarded the Ambatovy Supply Contract.’
‘Being awarded this contract to supply to the world’s largest nickel project reinforces SPF’s place in the market as the leading specialist project supplier and as the supplier of choice’ said Mr Disselkoen.
SPF’s success in securing the Ambatovy supply contract comes recently after SPF secured another highly sought after contract as preferred supplier to Woodside Petroleum.
